I used to have a policy of getting three or four quotes for every project that I wanted to do, then selecting a contractor based on price. I have since learned that the best price is not always representative of the best value. Now I base my decisions on my gut feeling during our first meeting. When I first met with Chuck, he showed up to my home ahead of our scheduled meeting time, while the two previous pier builders were late. After spending an hour with Chuck reviewing my plans and discussing various aspects of the project, I knew he was the right person for the job. He provided a quote in a timely manner and worked with me every step of the way as we ran through process of obtaining the various approvals needed to begin construction. I believe the quality of the work to be exceptional, but more importantly, I know that Chuck is a man of his word and he backs everything he does with his name and reputation. While we did have a written contract, our contract was ratified on a handshake. Lastly, I would be remise if I did not mention Chuck’s assistant Susan. Susan is not just an admin, she is the backbone of Inlet’s Marine’s logistics. Her fingers are on the pulse of that operation and she is always highly responsive to calls, emails, etc. If I had to make the choice all over again, I would choose Inlet Marine any day of the week and twice on Sunday.

Chuck and his crew did an outstanding job. We had our old dock removed, new dock, new boat lift, new bench and jet ski dock relocated. They had great attention to detail on all aspects. They respected our property and left it just as they found it when the job was complete. only thing left behind was an awesome dock, boat lift, sitting bench for out family to enjoy for years to come. Great hands on owners in field and office along with a respectful crew of workers who care about the finished product and making the customer happy.

Chuck was great to work with. He handled everything and we love our dock. We got a few quotes and Chuck was by far the easiest to communicate with. We even had some last minute changes we realized we wanted and Chuck made it happen. Don’t hesitate to call Inlet for all your dock needs.
